Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm all days

Saturday: Basic Medical Massage Techniques – Hands-On Training Course 

Sunday: Osteoarthritis – Hands-On Training Course

ALL therapists MUST take Day of MM Theory in live or Webinar format to register for this class! 

Registration Fee: 2-days for $370. Therapists can select 1-day for $185

SEMINAR PROGRAM

 

Day 1. Basic Medical Massage Techniques

Studying and practicing medical massage without a firm scientific understanding of Basic Medical Massage techniques and their clinical application is impossible. 

We will cover the science behind clinical variations of Medical Massage techniques developed by the Western School of Massage Therapy. Some of the techniques presented can be used in full-body massage sessions to build up a successful preventive massage therapy practice.  

 

Day 2. Medical Massage Protocols for Osteoarthritis

The second day of the class covers Osteoarthritis (OA) and the chain of pathological events that trigger OA. We will first discuss how to evaluate the soft tissues and joints affected by OA. Afterward, we will showcase the hands-on application of a Medical Massage protocol used to decompress any affected joints and diminish or stop the destructive processes within the cartilage and subchondral bone.
