Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Welcome to JMS Issue #1 of 2021. We appreciate the support of our readers from all around the world. Here is the content of the current issue, which we hope you will enjoy:

Our Person of the Month is Gerry Ivanov, LMT, from Geneva, Switzerland, who was chosen by our readers as the Winner of the JMS 2020 Best Case of the Month Contest.

In the Science of Medical Massage section, we published two pieces.

In the article ‘Good Vibrations’ submitted by Dr. E. Gubsky and O. Bouimer, LMT, CMMP, we begin an important discussion about vibration as a clinical tool and its impact on the human body.

In the second article ‘Science Of Medical Massage Therapy. Part III’, written by Dr. Ross Turchaninov, we are finishing the discussion of Reflex Zone formation in the soft tissues. This article is dedicated to reflex abnormalities which form in the soft tissues in patients with chronic visceral disorders.

In our Case of the Month section, Luis Fernando Carreras Perez, LMT, shares with readers the results of Medical Massage therapy for a very complex clinical case: ‘Medical Massage vs. Chronic Viscera-Somatic Disorders’.

Finally, as usual, you will find a lot of helpful information in our Good Apples/Bad Apples section. Since the quality of massage publications has dramatically improved, we are going to retire this section in 2021.

Dr. Ross Turchaninov, Editor in Chief
